- Meeting point: All snowshoeing tours depart from Northwoods Outfitters—please check in early.
- Experience & Fitness: Tours are tailored to your interests and fitness level, whether you’re new to snowshoe hiking or looking for a challenging trek.
- Due to the unpredictable nature of our weather, all tours go rain or shine.

- Food: Lunch for full-day excursions. You may bring food and beverages of your choice.
What to Bring
- Sun Protection: Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen (if needed), camera, and cellphone
- Backpack: A small backpack for hiking
- Clothing: The weather varies wildly in the mountains of Maine. It’s always best to be prepared for warm, cool, and sometimes rainy conditions. Be sure to dress in layers!

Frozen River Waterfall Hike
If you like nature and beautiful rivers and trails, we have the trip for you. Your guide will take you to a riverside trail leading to cascading falls while you are surrounded by trees and nature. Along the way, be sure to look for animal tracks and, possibly, a Maine Moose! This is an easy snowshoe hike for most adults and children, lasting about 2 – 3 hours.
