Local Rides

For an unforgettable UTV adventure, join one of our expert-guided tours! Explore the region’s stunning beauty as we take you to breathtaking viewpoints and wooded trails. Our tours are available daily, with options for half-day and full-day excursions. For a more personalized experience, our tours are private and small groups.

At the start of this trip, you can check out the “little Moose Loop” with a nice stop at the scenic overlook. You will pass the Moose Mountain Inn (convenient for trailside lodging), the trail passing through Big and Little Moose Mountains towards the East Outlet River (fly fishing only), and many ponds. Continuing north and before entering Rockwood, you will pass the West Outlet River, a good spot to fish for many fish species. In Rockwood, take a break at a local restaurant before returning to Greenville. This is a full-day trip.

Leaving Greenville, you will head south on the Railroad bed trail, passing beautiful scenic ponds, forest, and mountain views. The trail passes through several small Maine communities. The windmill trail is a high-elevation ridge trail spotted with Windmills and great views. Looping back to Greenville, you will pass near The Forks, where you will find several places to stop for food and fuel. Or bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a scenic trailside spot. This is a full or multi-day trip.

The trail to Kokadjo leaves Greenville and goes into the Mountains on the East side of Moosehead Lake. Here, you will pass the B-52 crash site, pass Beaver Cove, and ride to the Mountains Outside of Kodadjo. If time allows, you can also check out the number 4 and Bluff Mountain Trails. Our tiny picturesque town of Kodadjo has a small store and restaurant beside the Roach River (fly fishing only), lodging, and a restaurant at Northern Pride Lodge. Make this a day trip or stay in Kokadjo for a multi-day experience.

This shorter local ride (an easy half-day) leads you into the forest and mountains above Greenville. A fascinating piece of local history, the B-52 crash site is a federally protected crash site that tells the story of a tragic yet remarkable event. This is a scenic and  popular local ride.
